Recreation of an accidental mash-up that happened while delayed on the tarmac in London, on the Dublin flight. They played some baroque string piece to calm us, stop the passengers murdering the cabin staff. I was listening to some house beats on the iPod. This track tries to capture that interesting symbiotic tune that reached my brain.
The string piece is based on Daniel Purcell's Minuet in D, re-composed, arranged and recorded by me, from which I also derived a track in the style of Daft Punk or Chemical Brothers, that I had been listening to.
As Purcell the younger is a good 300 years dead, the tune should be in the public domain, and safe for me to CC/copyleft. Everything else is all my own work...

No one was hurt in the making of this production. Distortion added at will, and this song is NOT loop based. All tracks except drums are synthesized with an ALESIS, and Garage Band 2.

Ambient to my ears, and perhaps you won't approve. Personally I am pleased with the stereo imaging that I have achieved here, through the use of panning. I also think there are really cool effects throughout the piece. Pay attention to some of the rapid fluctuations in panning that I have used at the end.
This track was originally layed out in Garageband. The version that you are listening to has been remastered with Peak for Macintosh. It consists of a mixture of loops, and samples from an Alesis QS6 Synth. I used a PowerMac G4 Dual 867 mhz processors and 1.5 gig or ram, along with an Edirol UM 550 Midi Interface to create this piece.
