God, talk about mixed feeling, I like this track yet I don't. It has been placed on the official cut list for my new (maybe to never to surface) record. It only begins to get interesting near the end. Also check the forums here at opsound by clicking ::talk. Opsound contributor 'Broam' created a funny clip called 'he said what?' that is sped up and would fit well into the soundtrack of the old 8-bit Double Dragon video game. heh, thanks Broam!

beta_track

This track was originally written and recorded by a local Toledo musician Zak Ward (http://www.zakward.net). He asked me to provide more drive to it so I added a bunch of sounds and layer multiple beats over it to give it a greater sense of urgency.

beat practice

Remixed by John Holowach. This interesting mix also found a home as track number 10 on his 'Sickness In The World' LP (which is available at the Internet Archive). Even more intersting, this track found its way to Corrugated Films and wound up on an internation documentary called 'Granito de Arena'( http://www.corrugate.org/ ) ...wow what a powerful thing to be apart of, I am proud.

Practice (Modified)

This track started out as a practice session for me to work with drums. I used various samples from public domain mississippi blues recordings to using two bars of the not so public domain Beatles (A cookie goes to anyone who can tell me what element or sound I used.)

Grey and dark, unlike III. This track was a turning point for me and my vision of what kind of music I should make.

ambIII

I did't know how to make I or II so I just skipped ahead to III. This track was made in under an hour. I think it shows but I thought, like 'silo' it had a simple peaceful sound.

Silo

Warm sun, green swaying fields and tall silos cutting into the blue and white sky.

Away

Programing, Drums, Backing Vocals, Piano - Scott Waddell Guitar, Vocals - Scott Anderson> lyrics - away away you fly, a way a way to die, away away from me, a way a way you see. away away you fly, a way a way to die, away away from me, a way a way you see. born of defecation, breaking sunlight as it dries. i found a new creation, on the breath of breeze it flies. and it flies, away.

I have been playing around with music since I can't remember from making 'true' mix tapes to sampling and finally producing my own sounds. I have no formal musical training and program most of my sounds.

My sound has evolved from standard electonica to a more distorted layering of home made loops and driving beats.

My music has no plan when I am making it nor when it is released to the public.

I am a member of the International Virtual Band Tryad.
