Futura Bold is a hybrid electronic-acoustic band featuring custom keyboard sounds, double bass, turntable, low-fi devices, guitar, computer programming.
Genre: microprogressive music / downtempo.
Style: slow grooves that create highly charged atmospheres. Very visual. Things change gradually, sort of zen inspired/inspiring although some passages are rather dark and disruptive. Progressive spirit with modern sound and baroque layering.
Futura Bold is:
Mussa Phelps (keyboards, devices, programming)
Jorge Vargas (double bass, devices, programming)
Fernando Kabusacki (virtual guitar)
Guests: Barbara Togander, Emilio Teubal, Sami Abadi, DJ Marfany, Gregorio Kazaroff
A very sick bossa. It starts as a dry electronic essay and ends up degrading into something hard and dirty.
Just keyboards (played with 4 hands) and drums.
Inspired on a fly's nightmare.
Very electronic, with double bass. One of our most high-up tracks.
Futura Bold was formed in 2001. The first commercial album was released in 2003. We are based in Buenos Aires Argentina although our contributors and guests are spread around in a couple of countries such as Spain, the US and Japan.
The founders, Mussa and Jorge are multimedia people coming from the computer fields with varied experience in the visual arts.
Kabusacki is a real musician.
